Accepting and rejecting steps in the Step editor
You can use the Step editor to navigate through the steps in a batch or a test result and investigate differences between checkpoint and baseline images in a step.
When reviewing a step, you can accept or reject differences. If the action you perform in one step is a maintenance action, then the Test Manager prompts you to apply the action to all other steps that fall within the scope that was set for Automated test maintenance. For details, see Automated test maintenance of baseline variations.
To accept or reject steps in the Step editor:
- In the Test editor, click on the thumbnail, or the Open in the step editor button.
-
To accept differences click or press A on the keyboard.
To reject differences click or press R on the keyboard.
If you accepted the step then once you save to the baseline, the checkpoint image will replace the current baseline image and will be used as the reference image on subsequent test runs.
Once a step has been accepted or rejected, the user name parameter of the user that performed the action is available on the tooltip on the thumbnail in the Test results page and in the Baseline history page.
